In the early 1980s, during the height of the Cold War, KGB officer Grigoriev begins to detest the political stance of the Soviets and decides to escape and break free from this system. In fact, he possesses information that would enable him to flee to the West. He does not hesitate to use them. As the feeling of paranoia and the atmosphere of Big Brother in Moscow intensifies, with the help of a French engineer, he unwittingly plays a role in the collapse of the Eastern Bloc in a historic event.
