After her mother’s untimely passing, French adolescent Junie switches to a new high school. While Junie tends to keep to herself, her grace and composure capture the interest of all the male students. Junie starts a relationship with the kind-hearted Otto Cleves, yet she feels a strong attraction towards her young Italian language instructor, Nemours. As Nemours starts to respond to her feelings, complex situations arise.
