This film, which tells the story of a father-daughter relationship, will warm your heart, make you smile at times, and bring tears to your eyes at other times. Piku, a young architect, and her retired father Bhaskor live together in Delhi. Piku describes herself as “weird, strange, annoying, and boring” and constantly faces problems because she wants the commercial taxis she calls to drive fast. The 70-year-old Bhaskor, an old man, also describes himself as his daughter and complains of chronic constipation. His life revolves around the medications he takes and the quarrels he has with his daughter about his constipation. Although Piku is getting closer to Syed from work, her father does not want her to get married and even says that marriage is for people with low IQ levels. He can even go as far as saying “My daughter is different. Besides, she is not a virgin!” when he sees her talking to a man at a party.
